The most lavish in gifts for march 8 were men from Saint Petersburg

Unlike Valentine’s Day, which is perceived as a holiday by a limited circle of our male citizens, March 8 is traditionally more widespread.

According to IDF Eurasia (Moneyman brand), before February 14, there was an increase in the number of loans in the category of male borrowers aged 18 to 25. On the threshold of March 8, the same case was recorded for a much wider age group of customers: aged 18 to 65.

In relation to the pre-holiday week, the average loan size for male borrowers amounted to 19,300 rubles. We should recall that earlier the average loan size for women before February 23, 2020 amounted to 16,650 rubles.

Men living in Saint Petersburg were the most lavishing ones — in this region the average loan size reached 22,400 rubles, the most modest in this regard was Perm with an indicator of 9,100 rubles. At the same time, Moscow became the record holder in the number of borrowers, least of all people applied for loans in Birobidzhan.

“The overall picture of loans showed that despite the difficult economic situation in the country, men did not spare the money to arrange a holiday and present worthy gifts to their beloved and significant women,” Irina Khoroshko, CEO of IDF Eurasia in Russia, said.
