Moneyman took a leading position on the market

According to a study conducted by the National Rating Agency (NRA), in the third quarter of 2019, Moneyman took a leading position on the MFI market in a number of key indicators. Thus, the company became one of Top 3 best companies in terms of a loan portfolio, which amounted to RUB 5,1 billion, as well as one of Top 3 best companies in PDL segment having RUB 4 billion.

In this respect, compared to the second quarter of 2019, the most intensive growth dynamics was recorded in the following segments:

  • Installments — more than threefold growth (350%) or more than RUB 830 million in monetary terms;
  • PDL — more than twofold growth (217%) or more than RUB 2,1 billion in monetary terms.

The authors of this study observe an increasing popularity in using such method of reducing operating expenses as converting the process of lending to the online format.

Monayman as an online-lending service bears minimal operating expenses. All funds are used for the development and implementation of new technologies, hence to improve the product quality and customer service. “This contributes to holding leading positions on the market in terms of key indicators”, noted Irina Khoroshko, CEO of Moneyman.

In general, the NRA analysts predict a trend to grow the availability and customer base by leading market players. They have at their disposal smoothly running scoring mechanisms and experience in risk management. This makes them more technologically flexible, allowing to better adapt to regulatory innovations.

Ranking was prepared by NRA and verified by the National Association of Microfinance Market Stakeholders (NAMMS) based on a survey of macrofinance and microcredit companies according to the results of their activities in the third quarter of 2019.
