Average microcredit amount decreased by 16% in April

IDF Eurasia (Moneyman brand) analyzed the statistics for changes in the average amount requested by customers.

As a result, we found that at the end of April, the average loan amount received by borrowers in alternative lending services decreased by 16% compared to March: from 14,000 rubles to 11760 rubles. According to the company’s analysts, this is explained by two factors. First, there is a high level of uncertainty among citizens regarding their future financial well-being. Secondly, people try to approach financial planning as rationally and responsibly as possible during a crisis.

This is confirmed by the statistics of «Equifax» Credit Bureau. In March, almost half of all closed loans (45%) were repaid early, which is 4.8% higher than the same indicator in February.

Early repayment statistics trend is also recorded in Moneyman. In April, the number of loans repaid early exceeded those in the previous month by 6%. Top 3 provinces in terms of early repayment included Arkhangelsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as Altai territory.

The borrower’s ability to repay the loan early in these provinces may be due to easing the restrictive measures by local authorities. As of April 9, strategic industries and socially important organizations continued to work here, which means that their employees are more confident in their future.
